Primary Function


In co-operation with the Global Leader, provide overall strategic direction and leadership for the marketing and business strategy for the region.  The Marketing Manager, APAC will act as Project Business Owner (PBO) for Innovation Projects, develop Value Propositions, launch plans and support materials for new product launches in the region.

Strategy & Planning


- Through close collaboration with Global Segment Director and APAC country teams, develops APAC Segment growth strategy (including innovation strategy), defines business development plans for target APAC countries, and proactively manages the Segment business portfolio by identifying opportunities, risk, and execution plans.

- Supports annual strategic planning.


Competitive Analysis


- Manages competitive intelligence system to track competitor activity in the wholesome market.

- Evaluate Performance/price/cost of competitor products in clean label market.

- Assesses strengths and weaknesses vs. competitor products and capabilities.


New Product & Service Development


- Develops business plans for new products.

- Develops value proposition, tests product concepts and defines segments/customers for new products.

- Defines specific target markets and lead customers for market launch of new products.

- Develops market launch plans

- Propose product launch materials for use by Sales/Technical, in collaboration with the marketing communication manager.


Customer Value Management & Pricing


- Documents value proposition of Products and competitors through value chain.

- Uses customer value analysis techniques to establish value

- Under the supervision of the global leader, establishes pricing for products and services and uses marketing research to evaluate pricing strategics.

- Maintains pricing database and analysis to determine market pricing dynamics.




- Lead and manage communications on all promotions and marketing activities through traditional, website, and digital media in collaboration with the Regional Marketing Communications Manager.

- Manage communication with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in the messaging at the regional level.


Knowledge, Skills & Requirements


- Marketing functional qualification or significant experience.

- More than 10 years of experience in a food ingredient or specialty chemical business; technical and/or commerical experience an important plus.

- Experience of cross functional team management/influencing.
