Job Title:      Marketing Manager, Emerging Markets

Reports to:   Senior Springboard Marketing Manager

Primary Function

The Marketing Manager, Emerging Markets is responsible for driving growth and development of all relevant product ranges in the EMEA Emerging Markets. They will ensure delivery of the sales Goal and innovation targets, in collaboration with the Sales team. They will identify new innovation opportunities, develop the business cases and lead projects through the European Stage-Gate process. They will launch new products and track their progress, as well as develop sales and go-to-market tools, and attend customer visits to help drive business development activities. They will lead the development and execution of the strategy, working in collaboration with Marketing, Sales and Technical colleagues. They will also work in collaboration with the Marketing Communications Manager and our agency network to develop and implement the marketing communications programme in support of their business area.

Key Deliverables:-

Business

  • Delivers the Emerging Markets sales goals
  • Drives Emerging Markets sales and innovation promise growth across the region

  • Develops and executes the Emerging Markets growth plans

  • Monitors competitor landscape closely and uses insight to inform strategy and action plans

  • Oversee the development of detailed growth plans & projections for specific product range; Ensures short and long term strategies for each product range are in place and being deployed across the go-to-market organisation

  • Oversees the management of the product mix and SKU rationalization, making sure profitability targets of portfolio are met

  • Conducts regular competitive research on other related products and companies

  • Oversees the development of detailed growth plans for key target countries in the region [focus segments, customers, products and projects]

  • Ensure all relevant marketing collateral is up to date

Agility and Innovation

  • Delivers the innovation promise targets for Emerging Markets
  • Guides the technical and innovation programmes for Emerging Markets
  • Identifies new innovation project ideas in support of the Emerging Markets growth; develop the business cases and project documentation and act as the European Project Business Owner.
  • Develop and deliver launch plans for new products; track progress in the marketplace
  • In collaboration with the Marketing Communications Manager, develop and support the implementation of the Marketing Communications plan for the springboards ensuring best ROI

Relationships and People

  • Interfaces with customers, industry specialists, trade associations etc. to understand the market and development formal and informal networks

  • Uses external network to support the validation of business growth plans and in the development of business cases in different projects
  • Supports customer visits in key markets and priority segments; provide deeper insights in to the springboard products
  • Develops a broad set of working relationships across the G2M team and European business to facilitate project and program delivery
  • Liaises with Marketers and other key stakeholders outside the region to ensure good connectivity and facilitate project and program delivery
  • Works with European Marketing team to deliver the key elements of the Marketing Excellence programme.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest thinking and developments in Marketing

 

 Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

 

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree
  • At least 5 years previous experience in a marketing or related role in an international environment
  • Sweeteners knowledge is an advantage
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing) or equivalent
  • Ability to thrive in a high performance environment
  • Strong project managerment skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Flexible, responsive and works well on own intiative
  • Native English speaker or high fluency both written and verbal
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and capable of communicating at all levels with in the organisation
