Job Title:              Key Account Manager

Position Location:            Mumbai, India

Business Unit:   Sales


Primary Function              Responsible for managing key account customers in India, focusing on Dairy, Snacks, including Noodles & Pasta, Confectionary & Beverage.


Reports To:         Senior Key Account Manager, Food, India


Supervision:       No



Key Deliverables              Critical Deliverables


Business              Business Development

  • Seeking out and targeting new customers/opportunities and initiating action plan to approach
  • Identify and develop new dealers in designated region.


Account Management

  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
  • Coordinating MNC accounts’ projects with other divisions of the Company
  • Work alongside customers and handle



  • Secure new business so as to attain company sales goals and maximize profitability
  • Analyze sales statistics to determine business growth potential
  • Responsibility of top/bottom line growth through price/cost management
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
  • Responsibility for accounts receivables, monitoring A/R aging and coordinates with accounts receivable controller




Agility and  Innovation  

Supply Chain

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain to control of inventory levels through planning
  • Coordinating with supply chain to manage logistics functions e.g. warehousing, delivery
  • Management of customer service for forecasting, ordering, shipment tracking, local delivery



  • Working closely with technical service/applications to service customers’ requirements
  • Providing of basic technical support to customers


  • To fully comply with company’s Health & Safety objectives whilst carrying out above functions



Relationships and People            

  • Work in close collaboration with local and regional business teams in execution of accounts plans to deliver profitable growth.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with selected strategic customers.
  • Lead, coach, and engage team members, holding a key role in the company
  • Facilitate development of multi-functional and multi-level relationships between Ingredion and selected strategic customers.
  • Comply with Ingredion’s Code of Conduct


Knowledge, Skills,

and Requirements:         1.            Good market knowledge on processed food industry

  1. 10+ years’ experience in the food or related industry, with 3 years in key accounts management
  2. Degree in Technical field, with Food Science or Food Technology highly preferred
  3. Fluent in English
  4. Good presentation skills
  5. Computer literate (e.g. Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer)
  6. Prepared to travel extensively
